Stay Pretty With Bourjois

Saturday, September 28, 2013

The French brand, Bourjois has launched some amazing products this season. Do you remember their most recent and one of my favorites, the Color Boost Lipstick? I used it almost every day and now I'm giving it a break.

Their recent launches include foundations, blushes, nail-polishes and mascaras. And all of them come in the trademark Bourjois packaging.

The Happy Light collection is Bourjois' latest and it consists of a foundation, two serum primers and a concealer- all to help you achieve that flawless look. The Happy Light foundation promises to deliver a radiant finish with up to 8 hours of hydration.

The foundation (I use 51 Vanille Rosee) goes on sheer, so it is great for girls who want that natural, smooth finish. I did have to apply a little concealer here and there, though. In terms of staying power, it is absolutely fantastic.

It provided even coverage. The foundation blends into the skin and is thin in consistency, so it won't leave your pores clogged with make-up or give you the cakey effect. Available in 9 shades.

After foundation, it's time for beautifying the eyes. Play it up with the new Life In Pink collection- a range that celebrates the brand's brand color.

The Smoky Eyes Trio 17 is a gorgeous palette of pearlescent pinks. The colors create a soft blanket of pink that light up the eyes. Pink is the new smokey!

The eye shadows hold up for hours without smudging or fading. The texture is smooth and easy to blend. It's fast becoming my favorite palette for the winter season (and pink isn't even my favorite color!).

If pink isn't your thing, then try dramatic eyes without the eyeliner. The Faux & Fabulous false eyelashes from Bourjois create that intense smokey eye look with eye-liner effect.

A two in one time saving set of eye-lashes!

If you have trouble putting on falsies, then Bourjois' Twist Up The Volume waterproof mascara is your best friend.

The two-in-one clump free mascara gives you the option of either the day time look i.e. long natural looking lashes or the evening look- dramatic voluminous lashes.

You twist the wand in the tube to get enough product on your lashes. Twist 1 is designed to lengthen and separate the lashes and Twist 2 deposits more product and delivers on the thickness/volume.

To complete your look, don't forget to apply a subtle coral blush for that glow.

You can't step out of the house without perfume, can you? Bourjois has launched their 2013 fragrances entitled Glamor Excessive and Glamor Fantasy.

The Glamor Excessive is a combination of musk and vanilla with a slight floral whiff. Think cardamom, peony, sandalwood, patchouli, rose and vanilla. My cousin sis likes it more than I do. The only drawback here is the packaging. While the bottle is shaped in the iconic Bourjois bow, I would've preferred something different. It almost feels like this was meant for pre-teens.

Overall, everything I've tried is great and my favorite is the foundation.

Have you tried any of these? Got a favorite? Let me know in the comments section!
