A Perfect Summer With Bioderma Hydrabio Eau Soin

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear Bioderma? For me, it's always the famed Sensibio H20, the micellar water cleanser girls across several countries utilize. And why not? It's one of the best gentle eye makeup removers that we have access to. It does the job incredibly well and does not irritate the skin or gives rise to any allergic reactions.

I take a travel sized Sensibio H20 every time I'm out of the country; it's the most handy and effective cleanser. This particular product was the first I tried from Bioderma and coincidentally it was a sample. I was in absolute awe of its performance and found myself purchasing the full-size product every 3 months or so. I went on to try different Bioderma products including the Photoderm, a moisturizing sunscreen fluid with SPF (I religiously use sunscreen!) and the Hydrabio Serum. Both products did not let me down and the Hydrabio Serum is a firm favorite of mine. Suffice to say, it works like magic on my skin- hello, hydrated skin; goodbye spots of horrid dryness.

So, when news was out that Bioderma is launching the Hydrabio Eau de Soin, I was on pins and needles.

I can vouch for Bioderma's products (at least the ones I use) and I had a feeling that the new product would be equally perfect. I was predicted accurately.

The Hydrabio Eau de Soin is a moisturizing anti-UV mist with SPF 30 PA++  and it will be your perfect summer companion.

Similar to a facial mist, this colorless concoction is light-weight and absorbed by the skin in a matter of seconds. Bioderma states you need not pat your face after you spray the mist; instead leave it alone for a few seconds. You can apply (and reapply when need be) over make-up. The end result? Hydrated (protected) skin as opposed to a greasy finish.

I love this for a couple of reasons: the fact that it is absorbed into the skin within seconds is a bonus. However, the star benefit is the fact that it locks in moisture and provides protection against the harsh, unforgiving sun. I usually spray a bit more on the areas of my face that entertain dry spots.

I love multi-tasking products as I genuinely don't have the time or patience to apply multiple products.

And the hydrated element works on my skin like a charm. I say this because I've witnessed the dry spots disappear, or more so- the skin in those areas is moisturized. I tend to scrape the dry bits from time to time because they annoy me. The fact that it also has an in-built sunscreen is music to my ears. To top it all, the Hydrabio Eau de Soin protects against premature ageing. If you spend way too much time under the sun on a regular basis without protection, you will witness the aftermath eventually. It's known as Photoaging- think wrinkles, loss of elasticity and the works.

Here's something I noticed (most probably, it's only my skin that reacts this way). If I spray the mist from a closer distance, my skin gets a bit sticky and the product takes much longer to sink in. If I hold the can further away from my face and spray on the mist, it works perfectly.

The skin is the largest organ and constant reminders to drink water and use a sunscreen is mentioned keeping in mind all the elements that play havoc on the skin.

I love this mist and it travels with me throughout the city because it stays in my bag. Did I mention you can reapply at intervals? Convenience is the name of the game. It does not move the makeup or any other skin product that you've already applied. Aseya from Pretty In The Desert loves it so much that she asked her dad to get multiple cans from Paris!

Overall, this is the perfect summer companion and Bioderma has never let me down. This certainly has my stamp of approval!

Bioderma is available across leading pharmacies in the UAE.
