Brunching At The Movenpick Hotel + Giveaway

In Dubai brunches are gaining traction like never before. It's crazy how many hotels (and restaurants, alike) have revamped their brunch offering. It's also indicative of the fact that people don't tend to laze around in their PJs at home on days off anymore.

Brunches can turn into a good or bad experience and I'm glad to state that I haven't been to a bad brunch. It's purely because several hotels pay close attention to every aspect, more so than ever before making the time spent there, worthwhile. 

Having said that, I visited the Movenpick Hotel for brunch. The Art of Brunch, as they call it takes place at the Fountain restaurant, every Friday until Dec 31, 2016 and features a plethora of delicious bite-sized and main course meals within different cuisines along with drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

One of the best things to come from the Arab world is oud. No, not the musical instrument but the fragrant oil. I love oud and if you have been acquainted with authentic oud, you will appreciate it even more.

I grab almost every opportunity to own something oud based provided it gives off a pleasant fragrance. There are several global brands that have jumped on the bandwagon and have had success. But you have to leave oud (and bakhoor) to the Arab world, because we do it best.

IGN Con 2014 And A Giveaway

I love how the UAE hosts games and comic cons. It gives gamers like me an opportunity to explore everything I love about the gaming and comics sphere under one roof.

Apart from Halo, Tomb Raider, Need For Speed (and some old favorites Quake, Unreal Tournament, GTA etc), I'm obsessed love Warcraft. There used to be a time when I'd glue myself to the computer chair for 5 hours straight playing the game day after day, much to the frustration of my parents ("You haven't eaten anything!"). The year is approaching its end and I have yet to make use of the calendar. Having said that, here's something new- the IGN Convention taking place in Dubai, UAE. I associate IGN (and Gamespot) with the best info on games primarily because they were my destination for info and updates when I first forayed into gaming as a kid.
