#TRESMakeover: A Beauty & Style Session With TRESemme

Friday, October 13, 2017

I quite love sessions with the beauty and haircare industry thought leaders. You know you are going to walk out of that session empowered with tricks of the trade and secrets that make you go, "Why didn't I think of that?".

It's always enlightening to listen to experts converse about how a particular trend initiated on the global runways, would work in the region or how you could emulate Victoria Beckham's gorgeous choppier bob and still look glam despite not having her cheekbones. Haircare expert, TRESemme launched the #TRESMakeover campaign, showcased some beautiful hairstyles that can be easily replicated for occasions and invited me to be part of a session to witness a live makeover. Hairstylist Georges El Mendelek, fashion designer Alanoud Badr and makeup artist Sarah Al Wadaani dished out some interesting tricks and trends.

Have you ever used a hair mask and witnessed that it weighs down your hair? How about trying to put on false eyelashes? I have to raise my hand because I can't put on falsies. I just can't, no matter how much I try. Kudos to the girls who actually apply it in seconds!

Parisienne Beauty With Arcancil

Friday, June 16, 2017

When I paid a visit to Paris, France sometime ago, I noticed the Parisienne girls had barely any makeup on during the day. They walked about with their flawless porcelain skin whilst holding what looked like spring water sealed in a bottle. Their hair was something Rapunzel would be proud of; it wasn't voluminous or long but short and well maintained.

The girls there know how to take care of their skin and don't really have complex routines when it comes to beauty. Whilst browsing a well known skincare brand, I spoke to one of the attendants and the conversation careened into beauty routine; she told me that glam for the French girls meant a bit of mascara, perhaps "some color on the cheeks and lips".

France is a country that is credible when it comes to the beauty industry. The French churn out innovations in beauty that pretty much make most girls (including myself) want to buy it in an instant. I started using a Parisienne skincare brand a couple of years ago and have never looked back. The products are A+, deliver on everything they claim and while the price is on the higher end, it is worth every penny. Even the brand's beauty segment is beyond brilliant. From there on, I tried a handful of other Parisienne brands and loved them. There's not one that has failed me. Hence, I blindly trust skin and beauty care from France.

So when another Parisienne brand popped on the my desk, I was excited to try them.

Reviewed: Bioderma's latest, Photoderm Nude Touch

Thursday, March 23, 2017

For several people, summer means frolicking on the beach and having a fantastic time. For me, it's the complete opposite. When you live in a city like Dubai, you begin to detest the unbearable heat. Walk 2 mins in the parking lot towards your car, and you will end up with a sweaty back and frizzy hair. The heat has no mercy. If you've forgotten a chocolate bar in the car, you can take the now liquid chocolate and discard it.

The summer season plays havoc with skin, hair, health, food and everything you can think of. There are only a few reasons why I like summer such as ice-cream, embellished flip flops/sliders, dining indoors and having iced tea.

One of the core reasons I don't quite enjoy the summer season is due to the fact that my skin burns easily. It's not a pleasant feeling or sight and the sting of the sun rays becomes unbearable. You'd find multiple tubes of sunscreen at home and in my handbag. I religiously apply sunscreen and always buy Bioderma's Photoderm Max SPF 100. I trust the brand because the first product I bought lived up to its claims (the famous Sensibio H20) and then I went on to purchase a handful of others. It's one of the few brands that did not disappoint. Hence, when I was invited to the launch of their latest product, Photoderm Nude Touch, I was quite intrigued.

All Glammed Up With Glamazle.com

Monday, March 13, 2017

One of the things I absolutely love about online beauty stores is the fact that they manage to acquire certain cosmetics and skincare/haircare brands that aren't available in the UAE yet. I spend a chunk of my monthly savings on online shopping (be it clothes or cosmetics or accessories) and it's because they have something unique to offer. And I doubt I will shy away from the trend of purchasing online- it's quick and you can return products you aren't happy with.

Performance aside, I also tend to buy beauty products because of the packaging. One look at Giorgio Armani's sleek casing or Tom Ford's luxe lipsticks is enough to make me buy them, but never use them (weird, I know). How about Diptyque? Among other things, I love the brand for it's minimalist designs.

I think I speak on everyone's behalf when I say buying beauty products online can get a bit tricky. Consider foundation, for example- this is where you have to swatch the product on your skin in order to ensure you buy the right shade. Lipsticks can get challenging as well. There's one brand I am itching to try and discovered it about 2 years ago. The ever so popular Colour Pop Cosmetics. Because this brand isn't available in the UAE, I watched countless videos on YouTube and read blog posts in order to narrow down which matte lipsticks (about 90% of my lip colors are matte) and eye shadows would best suit me. After months of deliberation, I finally decided to place my order during a sale weekend (the brand has these every now and then). I placed my order and every 24 hours, logged onto the delivery site to check on the status. For 15 days straight, my package was still marked as being at the "facility of origin". I finally lost patience and cancelled my order. I never got to try the brand and their wonderful lip colors.

That was until I discovered local online beauty store, Glamazle.com stocked the brand! I was ecstatic and had stars in my eyes. During their second birthday celebration, they displayed quite a few brands that I had no idea were stocked locally. I was pleasantly surprised (and impressed).

Reviewed: Clarisonic Mia Fit 2 and Alpha Fit

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

A couple of years ago, I read an article about how significant cleansing skin the right way was. The article also highlighted the rise of sonic cleansing devices. At that point in time, I didn't care about those devices and neither did I want to know what affect they would have on my skin. I was content with my current skincare routine.

Fast forward to 2013 and all I would come across were the propositions from different albeit well-known brands within this category. Everyone I knew jumped on the sonic cleansing bandwagon (I kid you not, even my aunt bought one). I shied away from it because the standard route of cleansing was (and still is) something I'm comfortable with.

I'm late to the party- I've only just had the chance to use Clarisonic's Mia Fit 2 and I can tell you that I'm pleasantly surprised.

Perfecting A Matte Pout With Arcancil's Very Mat

Saturday, August 27, 2016

My lipstick collection contains 90% matte lipsticks and while I have a variety of shades, most of them are skewed towards a dusty beige rose. It's my color and even my mum frustrated that I buy lipsticks of the same/similar shade every now and then.

I get really excited when brands launch matte versions of lipsticks. And I'm grateful that I have not used a matte lipstick that has dried out my lips or given me an adverse reaction. I also tend to buy darker matte colors from time to time or go really vibrant with the likes of fuschia and indigo.

When I first discovered Arcancil's Mat Hysteria, a range of liquid matte lipsticks I fell in love with the smooth as silk consistency and the resultant application in addition to the longevity. And then, the French brand released the Very Mat range. It goes without saying that my interest piqued and eventually I got my hands on it. The verdict?

August Glambox Revealed

Friday, August 19, 2016

I genuinely love the concept of monthly beauty boxes. There are times I squeal with joy when opening them, and then there are times when I look at the contents with dissatisfaction. Regardless, I've discovered a plethora of brands simply through boxes like Glambox and have ended up purchasing full-sized products, some on a regular basis.

This month's box contains brands that I've been accustomed to using over the past 3 years, one more than the other.

Reviewed: Arcanil Paris' Liquid Matt Lipsticks, Mat Hysteria

Saturday, January 16, 2016

Matte lipsticks are my go-to lipstick formula. At least 80% of lipsticks collection is matte and in almost the same shade- a dusty rose. Does anyone else do that? It's a color I gravitate towards not only in a matte version but also glossy/semi-matte. I do own a handful of bold reds, bright corals, vibrant fuchsias and magnetic magentas but I always tend to lean towards the beautiful dusty rose.

Matte lipsticks can be awfully drying but thankfully, I haven't come across any to date. I hear my friends and magazine editors talk about applying a gorgeous matte lip color only to experience dry and flaky lips. They key I'd say is to do your research well and look into reliable brands that have established themselves within the beauty industry.

Almost every brand today has jumped on the matte lip color bandwagon and it's quite a delight to see the different and unique colors they concoct. I have my favorites and that list just grew with the addition of Arcancil Paris' latest, the new liquid matte lipsticks, Mat Hysteria.

Do you get all excited when a new season arrives and along with it brings the latest in beauty? There's one word to describe Laura Mercier's Spring/Summer '15 collection: gorgeous.

There's nothing like an extraordinary highlighter or lipsticks that deposit brilliant color in one swipe. In essence, the collection is perfect for spring/summer and there are 2 products in particular that have grabbed my attention.

Illamasqua's Alex Box Launches Facets 2014 Holiday Collection

Sunday, November 30, 2014

Illamasqua is a brand that I have warmed up to. And when I was invited to the launch of the latest addition, the Facets 2014 Holiday Collection in the presence of co-founder and creative director, Alex Box, I found myself looking forward to D-day.

The Facets 2014 Holiday Collection is nod to the several 'sides' we exhibit i.e. we are not restricted by one look, one mood or behavior.

Revlon Launches ColorBurst Crayon Collection

Tuesday, August 12, 2014

The jumbo crayon lipstick craze is still alive, everyone! Revlon launched the ColorBurst Crayon Collection in the UAE a few weeks ago and the venue had all the gorgeous Revlon makeup lined up- from pretty blushes to shimmery eye-shadows.

The makeup brand collaborated with local designer Aiisha Ramadan (I love her work). A couple of Aiisha's designs were reproduced by artist, Hatty Pedder.

It was interesting to see an artist's vision come alive through Revlon's color palette. How gorgeous does the placement of colors and overall design look?

The ColorBurst Crayon Collection features the jumbo crayon lipsticks in 10 shades, all boosted with moisturizing ingredients such as Shea, Mango and Coconut Butter.

The best part of the collection? 5 of the shades are available in high shine format i.e. ColorBurst Lacquer Balm and the remainder 5 are matte.

If you are a new reader to the blog, let me tell you that I absolutely LOVE matte finishes. Majority of my lipsticks are matte.

The ones that are glossy are, at times converted into matte using lose powder. That's how much I love matte finishes. So it's no secret that from both, the Lacquer Balm and Matte Balm, the latter is my favorite.

The ColorBurst Crayons is a fusion between a lip balm and gloss. It moisturizes and keeps lips locked in with color.

Let's start with the ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Couquette. This shade is a pretty pink- almost like cotton candy. A handful of shimmer can be witnessed upon application. The product glides on smoothly on the lips and leaves you with a shiny pout. You will need to reapply after a meal.

The swatch below features the Lacquer Balm on the top and Matte Balm on the bottom.

On to my favorite, the ColorBurst Matte Balm. I already got my hands on one of the matte lip colors prior to the official launch. That's what happens when you wander around in the mall and tell yourself that you are just window shopping. I bought 225 Sultry, which is a dusty rose-brown. I totally LOVE that color and now, I may just have another favorite in the form of 250 Standout.

This particular shade is a deep red and I believe it will suit almost all complexions. The Matte Balms do not have a 100% matte finish, they leave a slight sheen which is alright in my opinion. If you want a complete matte finish, you'll have to blot the lips after the first application and then apply a second layer. Unlike other matte lipsticks, this one doesn't tug the lips during application and neither does it dry them out (bonus and bonus!).

Both lipsticks have a peppermint fragrance to it and contrary to what you are (probably) thinking, these balms do not plump up the lips. Nonetheless, I love them.

I'll be reviewing the other products that you see in the images soon- keep an eye out for the Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow and the scented nail polish. I tried the latter yesterday- gorgeous color and yes, the nails have a pleasant fragrance.

Have you tried the ColorBurst Balms? Which one is your favorite?

The Revlon ColorBurst Balms are available at select stockists across the UAE.

Review: Une Polishes & Eye Shadows

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

How gorgeous are these Une nail polishes? When they landed on my desk, I immediately fell in love with the nude pink polish . It looked so pretty in the bottle and the same was reflected on my nails. I'm quite happy that my Une collection is growing (remember this lipstick? My favorite is their golden BB cream that doubles as a beautiful highlighter). The fact that this brand is all about organic makeup is a bonus.

The Une C03 polish is probably a favorite among so many girls. It looks gorgeous on the nails and is certainly one of those work-appropriate shades. The color goes on slightly sheer with the first coat and the second seals the deal.

I didn't apply a top coat as the polish is quite glossy on it's own (I think the picture speaks for itself).

Next up is a beautiful chocolate brown shade, C16. When I first saw this color, I ignored it. Don't get me wrong- I'm a huge fan of dark colored polishes. In fact, my polish shelf has about 90% dark colors however, looking at C16 made me not want to try it on. It didn't look appealing. I changed my mind when I applied it.

The color is beautiful! It's such a rich chocolate brown shade and glossy as well. No top coat here either. I now appreciate browns more!

Both polishes are long lasting- they barely chip. And none of them (especially C16) stained my nails. Hurray!

And now I present to you another work-appropriate makeup product: The Une Top 3 Eye Palette.

I had a similar perspective of this eye shadow palette when I saw the packaging. I noticed the colors on the label and ignored it. Never judge a book by its cover. The colors are truly pretty; I wore the S03 one fine day, loved it and repeated the look the next day.

The palette has 3 gorgeous colors. S03- a soft pink (that pretty much matches nail polish C03), S06- a slightly deeper pink (although it looks more like a light aubergine in the picture) and S08- a brown for the crease.

What I noticed is, if you blend S03 and S06, it turns out to be a totally gorgeous dusty/medium rose. Love this palette! Unfortunately, the colors are on the lighter end to appear as swatches in pictures (I took at least 5 shots with different angles and lighting, yet couldn't capture it right).

And the final product is the Une Ultra Black Eye Liner Kohl pencil. It is creamy and glides effortlessly on the eyelids (people with oily lids, I suggest you either use a primer first or avoid this all together) and doubles up as a smokey eye shadow if you smudge and blend it.

Absolutely loving these goodies from Une. If you are impressed and looking for more Une products, read my review on their foundation and mascara

Have you tried Une before? What's your favorite/ which one would you like me to review next?

Une is available at select retailers across the UAE.

Lolita Lempicka Elle L'Aime Mon Rouge Gift Set

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Red lipsticks. They are like the LBD of the lipstick universe, are they not? Finding the perfect red lip color can be a hassle- choosing the right undertone, the intensity of the color, the feel, the finish...I could go on.

I have always shied away from red lipsticks. For a long time, I felt I couldn't carry it off. It's too bold of a color for me and I told myself if I would ever wear a red lip color, it would have to be the perfect one (ideally, one with a blue undertone and a matte finish). I happened to find what I was looking for and was happy with it. Then I got bored and started to look for an alternative (am I the only one who goes through this?). Time flew and I forgot about my quest for the perfect red lipstick but my makeup destiny had other plans.

I attended the Lolita Lempicka Mon Rouge lipstick launch event the other week and was introduced to a gorgeous red lip color.

This was easily one of the best events I attended. I loved the venue, the interior decoration specifically for the event, the catering...everything was detailed and captured the essence of the brand.

Makeup artist, Najla Kaddour transformed the model's day makeup to an evening look using Mon Rouge. Najla is one of those makeup artists who is down to earth and a real joy to talk to. She actually remembered one of my skincare discussions I had with her at a previous event!

Mon Rouge in 10 Rouge Lolita is a limited edition lipstick housed in a gift set featuring the Elle L'Aime fragrance. I appreciate brands that go the extra mile with packaging. How beautiful does the gift set look?

The fragrance is a fusion of coconut flower and lime topped off with jasmine and myrrh merge. It smells divine and the bottle is absolutely gorgeous.

The star product, the Mon Rouge lipstick is incredible for several different reasons. When I opened up the tube and saw the bullet, I thought this would be just another red lipstick. Everything changed with the first swipe. I loved how the color looked on me. This is the first time I applied a lipstick and was impressed from the get go.

The vibrant red glides on like silk and gives a luminous finish. It boasts of plant-based ingredients that help keeps the lips in top condition. Mon Rouge doesn't entirely survive a meal though, but that's the case with most lipsticks where touch-ups are necessary.

Overall, I absolutely love it. The Elle L'Aime Mon Rouge gift set is a great gifting option and has my seal of approval. I'd be delighted to receive this! This is a gift set that says, "Smell great, look great".

The gift set is available in Paris Gallery, Areej and selected outlets across the UAE and is priced at AED 315.

Have you tried the lipstick yet? What about the fragrance? Tell me about it in the comments section below.

D&G Launches Makeup Counter At Harvey Nichols Dubai

Monday, June 16, 2014

To celebrate the launch of the D&G makeup counter at Harvey Nics, Dubai, the luxury brand flew in their international makeup artist, Massimiliano della Maggesa. It's not everyday that you get to meet the makeup artist who worked with Alexa Chung, right?

While I knew about D&G's makeup line (I posted it sometime ago on Instagram) and the glorious Classic Cream lipsticks, Massimiliano dived into the story of the lip colors and why they had a particular fragrance. He told me that one of the designers (I forgot who- Domenico or Stefano) while a tiny tot, opened his mum's handbag and got a whiff of a fragrant flower. That memory is the reason why, today the Classic Cream lipsticks have a particular fragrance! It's pretty cool to hear interesting background stories of products that we use everyday.

Massimiliano also gave me a quick tour of the key products. I ended up having a makeover and he happened to dish out a few makeup secrets. Don't you just love it when they do that? Pretty sure he used the same secret techniques on Alexa's face as well. Time to get off my high horse now and tell you about the gorgeous D&G makeup.

The packaging, no doubt is a reflection of D&G's luxurious footprint but what's inside is equally breathtaking.

How incredibly gorgeous is this? The colors are beautiful in the case and even more pretty when applied. I absolutely love the eye shadow quad.

The Smooth Eye Shadow Quad in '110 Nude' may not look like it is appropriate for day time however, the beauty of this palette is that you can either tone down the colors or build it up for an evening look. The  eye shadows go on the eye lids like satin. I particularly like the aubergine color.

The Classic Cream Lipstick in '240 Orange' is the most gorgeous summer appropriate lip color I've come across. While the name suggests a bright coral, the shade is more of a shimmery orange.

The lipstick is creamy and goes on smoothly. On it's own, for me it's a bit too sheer and highlights more of the shimmer. I usually apply a slightly darker lip color and apply on top (one light swipe) for a luminous finish.

The Passion Eyes mascara is great for lengthening your lashes. It doesn't check all the boxes when it comes to volume but aces the test in the lengthening department.

The mascara brush fans out the lashes and gives a gorgeous overall look.

I absolutely love this trio- the colors, the intensity, the results...it's as you would expect from D&G. The next product I'm looking to try is their foundations. When I was at Harvey Nics, I mentioned to Massimiliano that I always look for foundations that deliver a dewy finish. He suggested and applied the Liquid Luminous Foundation. The result? Radiant and flawless looking skin. My face looked like it was touched by fairy dust.

Do you have a favorite from the above? Don't forget to visit the new D&G counter at Harvey Nichols, Mall of the Emirates. You must try three things and I recommend these: the Passion Eyes Mascara, the Liquid Luminous Foundation and the Classic Cream lipstick (I would've recommend Red 620, a bright red also used in the famous Monica Bellucci's D&G ad- unfortunately it's sold out!).

Review: Rimmel Color Rush Balm

Monday, May 19, 2014

Do you remember the first chubby stick? Neither do I. But what I do remember is that girls go ape over chubby sticks because of the numerous benefits....it keeps lips hydrated, it isn't a lipstick or a lip gloss but delivers a glossy finish, is available in every possible color etc etc.

Rimmel jumped on the chubby sticks bandwagon and in collaboration with celebrity Rita Ora, developed Color Rush Balms. I love Rimmel. It's one of the drugstore brands that has never let me down. There's always atleast 1 Rimmel product in my makeup bag and this blush has become one of my favorites.

I actually love these jumbo crayon style sticks. One swipe gives you a gorgeous color for the entire day. The shade that I have is called Keep Mauving.

While the name suggests mauve as the shade, it's got a little more orchid pink mixed in than usual. It is, nonetheless a pretty color. One swipe of this gives you a sheer finish and it's almost a MLBB color. If you layer it on, you'll witness a gorgeous orchid-mauve shade.

I prefer the latter. The Color Rush Balm stick is great however, it does not survive a meal or drink (in my case juices and water). It does leave a sheer color (no stain as such) but you will have to re-apply. I love the fact that it isn't overtly glossy and a matte version of this color would be incredibly beautiful!

There are several more shades ranging from a shocking pink to a deep red.

Have you tried this or other chubby sticks? What's your favorite shade?

Rimmel Color Rush Balm is available at select stores across the UAE.

A Bourjois-ful Summer

I love how Bourjois launches pretty shades every now and then. I particularly love the little round pots that house their blushes. A pop of color on the cheek is gorgeous. Blushes aside, a handful of Bourjois goodies landed on my desk.

First up, are the So Laque Glossy and the 1 Seconde nail polishes. The So Laque Glossy in 09 Ciel Mon Vernis is part of the Spring 2014 collection. It's such a beautiful pastel blue.

I usually prefer darker colors on my nails but this color has won me over. It takes about 2 shades to get an opaque coverage.

The polish stayed on for 5 days straight before I noticed slight chipping. Other than that, I totally love this color and the glossy finish it delivers. My new favorite when it comes to pastel polishes!

The next one is something almost every girl loves. Gold and glitter! The Bourjois 1 Seconde polishes have a special gel texture along with a fan brush that allows easy application.

This shade known as 42 Oh My Gold, went on like a dream. I applied this over a dark base so the gold would pop.

Bourjois launched a new fragrance to add to their Glamour range (read my review on the other fragrance here). Aptly named Lovely, this is a fruity floral fragrance that boasts of apples and black currants fused with Turkish rose, jasmine, amber and musk among other ingredients.

When you spray it on, it immediately dispenses a fruity fragrance but allow it to settle, and you will sense the jasmine and musk coming alive.

The final product is the latest offering from the brand, the Volume Seconde Mascara that promises to deliver length and volume to the lashes.

The mascara comes in a waterproof version as well and includes carnauba, bee's wax and jojoba to keep the lashes moisturized.

The mascara has a special brush that coats the lashes and combs/fans them out thereby giving you the best outcome. On my lashes, this mascara is more about length than volume. It didn't flake (hurray!) or smudge. It's great to use during the day or at work.

So, these are latest gems from Bourjois. Have you tried any of these?

Bourjois is available at select stores across the UAE.

Sephora Launches New Generation Makeup Collection In Dubai

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

I discovered Sephora at a time when the brand did not exist in the Middle East. When I stumbled upon the Sephora US website, I was drawn to their makeovers, videos and tips. It was everything I wanted from a beauty site- there were beauty experts dishing out secrets, products being sold online, gift so I signed up for their newsletter. This was in 2002 (I had to go through my emails and yes, I still have that first newsletter I received!). I haven't unsubscribed from their list because their newsletters just keep getting better!

Today, Sephora is available across the Middle East and I can recognize the monochrome stripes from a distance. Sephora houses makeup from some of the best brands and of late, they launched their own line of beauty products.

The latest collection, a new 'generation of makeup' was launched at the Meydan Beach Club in Dubai and it was a delight to see the ol' black and white stripes along with a host of new beauty products.

The new generation makeup featured a host of Sephora nail polishes, eye shadows, blushes, palettes, lipsticks in Spring ready colors. Do you spot the turquoise mascara (my favorite!) and the gorgeous blushes?

Skincare products included moisturizing serums, CC creams, water based cleansers and more.

While all products looked great, I tested out a handful of them. Do they live up to their claim?

The first product I tried was Sephora's Liquid Moisturizing Skin Concentrate. Sephora calls this a liquid moisturizer that's as powerful as a serum and doubles up as a toner. I call it amazing.

You either apply this directly to the face (after cleansing) with a cotton pad or with your finger tips. I do the latter, I just think using this with a cotton pad is a waste. The product is light-weight and instantly absorbed by the skin. It has such a wonderful fragrance, it reminds me of freshly cut cucumbers.

The liquid moisturizer claims to smooth, illuminate and refine the skin's texture. While I can't comment on those as of yet, I can confirm that it provides ample hydration. The minor dry patches on my face disappeared after a few day's use (I did use my moisturizing cream in conjunction with this). So far, I love this moisturizer. You can definitely use this on its own i.e. don't follow up with a moisturizing cream and you will notice it keeps the skin hydrated.

The Sephora Super Regenerating Oil-Serum is another star product. It is an anti-ageing face oil and claims to repair the skin while making it radiant.

The first thing that came to my mind when I read the name of the product was that it would be slightly thicker in consistency. But no. It's almost like that of water, has a subtle rose fragrance and is packed with seaweed extract and a collagen booster peptide. It does keep my skin soft and imparts a subtle radiance; other than that I have yet to notice other benefits. I love this because I can quickly slip this on before the BB cream routine/ powder foundation.

The Sephora 10 hour Fix & Correct Concealer is my new favorite when it comes to hiding skin flaws. This dual ended product corrects, brightens and conceals. The fine tip corrects and conceals under eye circles and other blemishes. The other side brightens the eye area and blends effortlessly. Totally love this product!

Ever put on amazing eye makeup and then struggled with applying glitter on top? Do you, like the rest of the girls apply a little Vaseline for the glitter to stay put? The Sephora 24 hour Glittergaurd is a brilliant way to keep glitter in place. Whilst the product states that it will keep glitter on your eyelids sans the fallout, it serves as an eye makeup primer to hold everything from shimmer to other eye shadows. And when you are applying darker colors on the lid, make sure to use this one. It makes the color more vibrant.

I will be reviewing the other products soon including the revolutionary upside down mascara and lip inks.

Have you tried Sephora's new generation makeup? Do you have a favorite?
