I'm a firm believer of sunscreen and because my skin burns easily (not a pleasant sight or feeling), I tend to slap on sunscreen that contains SPF 100 or 50. The days that I do forget sunscreen are the days I tend to scurry for shade when walking outdoors.
Having said that, I've discovered yet another interesting product that doesn't disappoint. Palmer's Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balms may look like the run of the mill balms, but they aren't.
Do you recall the incredible face oil and the body lotions I raved about? Just like those, the lip balms are pretty impressive (no exaggeration). They come in 3 different versions- the classic Cocoa Butter, Dark Chocolate & Mint and Dark Chocolate & Cherry.
Infused with Vitamin E and SPF 15, these lip balms do the job of nourishing and protecting the lips against the harsh elements of the summer season. I find the balms to be uber moisturizing and am particularly fond of the Dark Chocolate & Mint version. The flavor is detectable i.e. if you happen to inadvertently lick your lips, you will taste a subtle sweetness.
The Dark Chocolate & Cherry has a subtle red tint and it's great for those who want just a dash of subtle color on their lips. The classic Cocoa Butter version is tint free, just like the Dark Chocolate & Mint.
One of the unique things about the product is the fact that the balm isn't in the shape of the standard lipstick bullet. It mimics the shape of the tube and application is a breeze. I apply this twice in a day- right before I apply my lipstick and prior to going to bed.
The tubes fit right in the handbag without any hassle and I genuinely love them. While other lip balms have a tendency to "sit" on the lips, the ones from Palmer's have a tendency to sink in a little, which is a plus for me. I'm not really a fan of glossy lips and hence the love for matte lip colors.
If you're looking for a new lip balm, you must try Palmer's Ultra Moisturizing lip balms. They live up to my expectations and a fuss free. This product definitely has my seal of approval. And since summer has arrived, you might want to keep your skin hydrated throughout. Try this gem from Palmer's. You won't regret it!
Palmer's is available across major retailers in the UAE.
