Celebrating Women With L'occitane

L'occitane is one of my favorite skincare brands. I love the fact that there's a story behind key ingredients used in each product range. Even better is the benefit they impart onto the skin. My first L'occitane product was not skincare related but a fragrance called Fleur Cherie. Impressed with it, I went on to buy a handful of other things including  the cleanser and moisturizer from the Angelica range and fell in love with them. The products from this particular range are my favorite to date. They are absolutely gentle on the skin and deliver what they promise.

As it is with every occasion  L'occitane created something special for Women's Day and mothers (Mother's Day- yay!).

For International Women's Day, L'occitane launched a fundraising soap.

L'occitane gets one of their key ingredients from an African country called Burkina Faso. The women of this country help in producing shea butter that is used in several of L'occitane's products. To empower these women, the brand has decided to support their entrepreneurial journey not only through financial aid but also by providing them with basic knowledge and skills. I love such initiatives where everyone comes together to help women become independent and achieve their dreams.

When purchased, this soap helps place 3 bricks into a classroom so that once it is ready, the women can attend the classes and acquire the necessary skills. In other words, 100% of the proceeds from the sale go to building classrooms.

The soap smells amazing, leaves the skin smooth and soft because it's got substantial amounts of shea butter!

For Mother's Day (March 21st in this region), L'occitane is all about pampering mothers.

There are amazing gift sets on offer (head to the stores to find out more- you won't regret it) and when you make a purchase of over AED 399, you get a pretty bag filled with bath goodies for your mom- shower cap, loofah, scrubbing glove, shower gel and hand cream. This also makes a great travel set!

What you planning to get for your mom?
